Enrollment at Red Barn
We’re excited you’re considering Red Barn Schoolhouse.
As a tuition-free public school, our enrollment process is designed to be both accessible and fair for all families. We encourage interested families to submit an application during the designated enrollment window.
Admissions follow this priority:
- Current Red Barn Schoolhouse students
- Siblings of current students
- Students within our attendance area
From there, our lottery & waitlist process ensures that each available seat is filled thoughtfully and transparently.
Lottery & Waitlist Process
As a tuition-free public school, enrollment at Red Barn Schoolhouse is open to all eligible students. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available seats, a random lottery system will be used to determine placement.
Students who are not selected through the lottery will be placed on a waitlist in the order drawn. As openings become available, families will be contacted and offered enrollment. The family will need to complete the enrollment process within 2 days in order to secure the student’s seat.
We are committed to making this process fair and transparent for all families.
Even if your child was not offered a seat this year, we want you to know how much we appreciate your time, trust, and interest in Red Barn Schoolhouse. As a growing school, there may be future opportunities, and we hope you’ll continue to stay connected with us.
If You Miss the Application Deadline
We understand that life doesn’t always follow a set timeline.
If you miss the application deadline, are new to the area, or are exploring enrollment after the school year has begun, we still encourage you to reach out and submit an application. While priority placement is given to families who apply by the deadline, additional applications may be considered as space becomes available.
When openings are not immediately available, students may be placed on a waitlist.
